A mountain model is spinning on a turntable. It is standing on a 1974 record from Bachmann-Turner Overdrive.
The song is telling the story and feelings of a rock musician, who is looking at his life. He admits that rock has become his whole life, there is nothing else but music. Whenever the pickup hits the spinning rock, it jumps back abruptly and repeats the same bit of song. It is the slow refrain „..Rock is my Life, and this is my Song...“ that repeats in a mechanical loop.
This rock ́n roll ́er is looking over his past life, as if standing on a top overlooking a landscape. He doesn ́t like the whole view, but he states that he has got to go on playing. So the record spins, it doesn ́t stop, but the sound is physically interrupted by the stone wall and always repeats the same songline, as is the life of any musician, staying in the grooves of what he has become.
A black and white photo found in a second hand store, is hanging on the wall behind the record player. It is a wooden frame without glass, 47x31,5cm. It is showing a cable car full of tourists going to the top of a mountain. Behind the cable car is a landscape with an amazing shoreline. In the foreground are trees and bushes of the mountain side.
The rock is rolling... take it to the top!
Silence is a mirror, 2006, edition 3+2 artist proofs
30cm in diameter, 1mm high polished stainless steel, clear glue.
A steel mirror is shaped to look like an LP record. In the middle there is a hole, as on any record, grooves has been symbolicly scratched into the surface. Also the label is marked by a line.
In the middle of the record, a text is handwritten with a clear glue, "Silence is a mirror". The text is describing the fear of silence known to many people. Mostly we are surrounded by people and noise all day. When we are alone, and confronted with silence, unwanted thoughts appear, and our physical presence, the sound of our body, steps, breathing and heartbeat are overwhelming. So many people use music or a blabbering radio to break the silence, and not be confronted by one self. Thus, as the work states, the silence is like a mirror. The work is hung on the wall, so that people can see a mirror reflection of their face in the high polished steel surface, and be reading the statement at the same time.

Das Meer singt eine Melodie, 2002
Eine Strandinstallation auf einer schwimmenden Plattform im Rahmen der Artgenda Biennale in Hamburg. In einem verschmutzten Teil des Hafens, welcher normalerweise nicht die Aufmerksamkeit der Menschen auf sich zieht, trotz seiner Nähe zur Innenstadt, entstand mittels Seemannsliedern, welche aus dem Pool ertönten und der Atmosphäre von Wasser auf dem Wasser ein Gefühl von Fern- und Heimweh. Handtücher und Schwimmbekleidung wurden gestellt.
Doll, 2003
Projektion auf die Innenseite einer Schaufensterscheibe eines Geschäftshauses in Hamburg. Eine Schaufensterpuppe blinzelt mit dem Auge.
Die Installation wurde 2006 in Kopenhagen und Hamburg gezeigt.
The Sky is no Limit, 2004
Die Ausstellung Zoll- Douane in Hamburg 2004 befasste sich thematisch mit Grenzen und Beschränkungen. Die Instatllation "The Sky is no Limit", bestehend aus einem 6 x 4 Meter großen, aus poliertem Stahl bestehenden Spiegel, wurde auf dem Wasser nahe einer Brücke positioniert. Der Schriftzug THE SKY IS NO LIMT nimmt Bezug auf das Sprichwort "only the sky is the limit", welches besagt, dass alles möglich ist, außer den Himmel zu erreichen.
Hier ist der Himmel keine Begrenzung, sondern eine Inspiration für Phantasie und die Ideen des Betrachters. Denn wenn der Betrachter nach unten schaut und Wasser erwartet, erblickt er den Himmel. Er schaut nach oben, während er nach unten schaut.
Daheim, 2005
Ein Projekt in Berlin, in welchem Papierflieger aus Fernsehbildern gemacht wurden, welche Naturaufnahmen zeigten.
Die in Papierflieger verwandelte Natur aus der Fernsehkonserve wurde aus dem Fenster fliegen gelassen, der Kreislauf wurde geschlossen, indem
die Naturaufnahmen in die Natur zurückgeschickt wurden.
